Boston is One!

I can not begin to express what an amazing first year we have had with Boston! The Lord has blessed us beyond measure and we are excited to see what He has in store for us as we continue to raise Boston and teach him about our great God and Father. It certainly does not seem like a year since he was born; but looking back through this blog is evidence of that blessed year. Boston had a fun first birthday and was surrounded by so many people that love him very much! He loved and continues to love his presents. He also LOVED his birthday cake as you can see from the pictures! Some of these photos were taken the week before his party. I am also loading an album to Shutterfly. Enjoy the pictures and know that we feel very blessed to have you as a part of Boston's life!

I had to add these two pictures. One is of Boston's first minor league baseball game. The other one is quite hilarious. We were over at our friends Chris and Erin's house the other night and Boston saw something in the bottom of Anna and Clay's toy box that he had to have. Unfortunately, he got stuck in the process!

First Beach Trip!!!!

Boston had his first trip to the beach several weeks ago. We had a great time, but Boston was NOT a fan of the water! We tried the pool and all he wanted to do was cling on to us as tight as he could. Then we tried the beach and all he wanted to do was eat the sand. We have noticed a pattern with Boston and eating. If he can pick it up he is going to eat it! Hopefully he will grow to love the beach as much as his mama in time.

We have been very busy since getting back home. We had our ten year class reunion, we visited the Atlanta aquarium, I taught a month of summer school, Ryan has been crazy busy planning for his new school, Jamie and the kids came to stay a few days, MaeMae came to stay a week and Boston had tubes put in his ears! And the best news of all.......BOSTON IS WALKING! It is a very funny site to see!

Please pray with me for Ryan over the next few months. He has a lot on his plate designing the athletic program and raising money for the program at his new school. Needless to say, it is going to be a stressful time for him. But he is VERY excited about the opportunity! Thanks for remembering him. I hope you are all doing well! Boston is Mobile!

Boston is on the move! He went from rolling everywhere to crawling EVERYWHERE very quickly! Oddly enough, it was one of Maddie's toys that got him going......he just coudn't get to it fast enough! He also loves to pull up on whatever he can grab onto. Needless to say, he has an array of bruises across his forehead. I am sure there will be many more to come! He has also mastered the word "Da Da"! Although he doesn't always direct that name toward Ryan. Many things have been called "Da Da" over the past few weeks! He had his 9 month checkup last week and he is doing great. He seems to learn something new everyday and it is so special to watch! Check out the new pictures on Shutterfly and enjoy!

Where does the time go?

I can't believe our little (actually big) baby is already 6 months old! Does it seem like he's been here for half a year? No, I didn't think so. We are certainly enjoying every minute with him....even this morning at 3 am when he decided playing with his feet was a better option than sleeping! I am sorry it has taken so long to update the pictures on Shutterfly. We were really thinking Boston would be able to take over this job by now, but he is still working on trying to roll over. We are convinced his belly is hindering this accomplishment. He was 20 lbs 9.5 oz at his 6 month visit. That is one pound shy of tripling his birth weight! Ryan started baseball practice this week, so hopefully we will venture out to a game soon and have some fun pictures of that. In the meantime, enjoy the TWO new albums on shutterfly.
